Horizon Music UK have been proving musicians for weddings, parties and events in London and the South East of England since 2013. We like to give a little insight into some of the events which our musicians have performed at and to share some of our experiences in the live music industry with our blog.
Horizon String Quartet ventured into the beautiful Kent countryside on Saturday for a beautiful, unique and quite muddy (!) wedding on Whetsted farm near Tonbridge. Despite our day being disrupted by train cancellations, and the weather… it was a really special day and we were delighted to be a part of Sarah & Joel’s celebrations. Wishing Mr. & Mrs. Levitt all the very best for the future!

Horizon String Quartet made its debut at the Royal Opera House in April, taking part in the ROH’s Welcom Performances day – aimed at introducing families and young people to the wonderful world of ballet. The quartet played audience members in with some ballet favourites including pieces from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty, before working alongside conductor John Hargreaves as he gave an interactive conducting masterclass for children. It was a wonderful day and the quartet were thrilled to play a role in hopefully inspiring the love of music and ballet in a new generation of audiences (and maybe even future musicians!).
Horizon String Quartet played at Nick & Sabrina’s wonderful wedding in April, at the picturesque venue Syon Park House in Brentford, West London. After a lovely civil ceremony, with Sabrina deciding to enter to the Smashing Pumpkins classic Today (what a great choice!), in the glorious Graeco-Roman inspired Great Hall the quartet entertained the guests outside on a sunny spring afternoon. We wish Nick and Sabrina all the best for the future and feel privileged to have been a part of their big day.
